Architectural elements of Queen's Royal College have been restored to their original form and splendour by the Ministry of Education, monitored by the Ministry of Works, Historical Restoration Unit. The Architect was Bernard MacKay and the Contractor Kee Chanona. During the restoration process, paint was carefully stripped to uncover the original colours, revealing in the classrooms, hand-painted dado panels in different designs, framed by stencilled and hand-painted border friezes. These original panels will be restored to their original splendour in selected areas. External colours have also been restored to the original colours.
